BDHS Course Request Information Night
Brentsville HS will host a course request information night for rising freshmen and their parents this Wednesday, March 4 at 7:00 to discuss options for the 2015-2016 school year. Specifically, we will present the differences between regular and IGCSE courses, the horticulture sequence, and elective options. We know eighth grade students have submitted their initial requests to their middle school counselors. The Brentsville counselors will soon be going to the middle schools to discuss the course requests with students, so this is an opportunity to be best prepared for these discussions. We hope to see you in the BDHS auditorium Wednesday

Happy New Year
We would like to thank our community for a fantastic 2014. We appreciate the opportunity to educate such phenomenal students and work with so many wonderful, supportive families. We have loved opening the new school and enjoyed the benefits of our K-8 environment. Thank you so much to all of the families that baked cookies for us. We knew you were sweet, but that was overwhelming proof.
We look forward to a successful 2015 that inspires our students to excellence. We want to wish a wonderful holiday from our Nokesville School family to yours.
The Nokesville School Designated 2014 School of Excellence
Our students have the distinction of attending a newly named PWCS School of Excellence. This is the 11th year Nokesville has earned the coveted title.
School of Excellence is the highest recognition awarded to schools by the PWCS School Board. It signifies high levels of performance on state accreditation and Annual Measurable Objectives and shows that our school is moving toward the goals of the Division’s Strategic Plan.
Congratulations to our phenomenal staff who helped us earn this important indicator of student success.
Dress Code
At our October 2014 Advisory Council meeting, we developed and refined our dress code expectations and guidelines. In compliance with Prince William County regulations and to achieve our goal of having a safe, respectful, and productive school environment, some items will be considered inappropriate dress for The Nokesville School:

Parents/guardians may be called to bring appropriate clothing for students whose clothing does not adhere to the dress code. Gym clothes or loaner shirts and sweatpants may be provided to those students determined to wear inappropriate clothing to school. Additional disciplinary action may also be taken by the administration for repeat offenders following The Nokesville School's Behavior Matrix. Thank you for your support of The Nokesville School as we strive to create a productive learning environment for all of our students.

The First Day
We had a wonderful first day at The Nokesville School! Students and staff were enthusiastic about our building and all of the possibilities ahead. We had some visitors this morning to publicize our opening, including a reporter from a local newspaper and a news crew from Channel 7. You can view that story online here.
We look forward to a phenomenal year ahead. Thanks for being a fantastic community.
We would like to officially welcome you to the inaugural year of The Nokesville School! It was exciting to see so many of our families at Kindergarten Orientation and our Open Houses.
Middle school students who did not receive their schedule at Open House will need to report to the gymnasium to receive their schedule on the first day of school.
We are looking forward to an excellent first school year. It's a new day at Nokesville and we are thrilled that you are starting this new school with us.
